Renee Paquette has started to develop a life outside WWE after 8 years. With a cookbook scheduled to be released next year, a podcast rapidly gaining popularity, and a baby on the way, Paquette has started doing things her way after several years. However, things could have started in motion just a few years ago.
Paquette was a guest on the Getting Over podcast recently where she spoke about almost quitting the WWE three years ago. As everyone knows, Paquette eventually stayed with the company. She revealed what made her stay, along with the WWE’s reaction.
I had actually tried to leave WWE maybe three years prior to that. So, it wasn’t the first time that I had had this conversation. Going back to the time I tried to leave, before going back to carrots being dangled, like, “No! We want you to stay, we have got these big plans for you. We’ve got this coming up, and this coming up, and all these great things. So, I was like, “Alright, s**t! Alright, let’s do this.”
During that time, some of those projects may have been RAW Talk and Talking Smack, in addition to eventually becoming part of the Raw commentary team and making history in the process. Now on her own, she may find herself rather satisfied she made the decision to stay.
