Sting Scheduled To Appear On This Week’s Dynamite
Tomorrow’s Dynamite is going to be a crowded episode. Alongside a big title match between current champion Kenny Omega and Joey Janela, AEW just announced that “The Icon” Sting will make his third appearance in a row.
Sting made his shocking debut on the Winter is Coming episode and confronted Cody Rhodes last week in a segment that scored huge ratings for AEW. According to Dave Meltzer the current plan for Sting is to be a regular television character on the show.
The Hall of Famer reportedly signed a multi year deal with AEW a month ago because he wants to end his career on his terms, something that seemed impossible in WWE.
Sting pitched a cinematic match with The Undertaker but Vince McMahon denied his request and wasn’t interested on having him as a regular character on TV.
It’s only fitting that after so many years away from TNT Sting is back on the network that boosted WCW’s popularity back in the 90’s.
