AEW Dynamite Draws Fewer Viewers But Still Beats NXT
AEW and NXT went head to head again Wednesday night in one of the last times for 2020, but who won the night?
Showbuzz Daily has reported AEW drew an overnight of 806,000 viewers with a .35 in the 18-49 demographic, while NXT brought in 766,000 viewers with a .19.
While this was a drop for AEW who had 995,000 the week before, it was a jump for NXT who had 659,000. AEW was the number 3 watched show on all of cable this week, with NXT coming in as the 34th most watch show.
Last night’s ratings might be a disappointment in the wake of almost drawing 1 million viewers the week prior and 913,000 the week before that for the Winter Is Coming episode of Dynamite, but they still pulled off the victory for AEW and remained ahead of the WWE.
WWE can at least take solace in the fact that Raw didn’t lose the 18-49 demo to Dynamite for a second straight week. That said, the loss to last week’s episode has the WWE looking at making some “reactionary decisions” in the upcoming days.
