WWE made headlines earlier this summer when they swiped prospect Ben Carter from underneath AEW. AEW had much interest in Carter, but as WWE was checking out talents who were working for AEW Dark and New Japan Strong, Carter was picked up by the company with an eye to use him on the NXT: UK brand.
Those plans came to fruition as Carter made his first appearance on the brand in a vignette hyping up his debut. Getting put over by William Regal, Nigel McGuinness, and his trainer Seth Rollins among other NXT: UK talent, it looks like the plan to make Carter a major player on the brand is well under way. We’ll have more about the episode later with results of the show. For now, you can watch the vignette below and judge for yourself how well the company did hyping up Carter in preparation to debut him.
