Yesterday, we reported on a story where it had been said Jonny Fairplay had been told creative plans for Melina to debut in NXT as a member of the Robert Stone Brand.
Fairplay was a guest on the PWTorch podcast, where he said that Robbie E was in a creative limbo, especially with Melina not being brought in.
“I hung out with Robbie E two weeks ago and he has no idea what he’s going to do. His plan was to bring in Melina and manage in NXT. She had to have surgery or something. They’re not using the guy.”
News like that was quickly picked up by several sites, including ours. Now Fairplay has taken to Twitter to try to clarify his words as he feels they’ve been misinterpreted. Fairplay revealed that Robert Stone was not the one who gave them that information, but someone else did. While the original quote made it sound like he had heard this directly from the former Robbie E, the story he heard about Melina in addition to Stone not knowing his next move creatively are from two different sources.
