Triple H Assigns Team To Head New NXT Show
NXT is starting to expand their reach by one more show.
We had reported last month Triple H was looking through the budget to find more ways to get NXT talent more ring time and exposure. Now it seems they have found it. Wrestling Inc. has reported that Triple H has started to build a team to begin work on a new show for NXT. The show has been described like “a minor league system” for NXT. It has basically been pitched as “an NXT for NXT.”
Their report went to add that former EVOLVE booker Gabe Sapolsky is heading the team and has been given “several agents and writers to help him get more comfortable with writing television.” Triple H is said to be a big fan of Sapolsky and that’s how he landed the job.
While they have not yet talked how it will be presented on television, and that is the current challenge. They have the idea for it to “be akin to another promotion running in some of the smaller tier markets.” Since the return of house shows is unlikely, they’re just turning it into a television show. There was no mention where the new show will air, but it seems likely it will find its way to the WWE Network, or at least easy to assume as much. The working plan is to have it prepared to air in early 2021.
If this is true, early 2021 looks to be a busy start for the NXT family, as there is talk of NXT: India launching early 2021 as well.
