Exclusive: Ethan Page Comments On Potentially Rekindling Rivalry With Darby Allin
“All Ego” Ethan Page is set to hit free agency on January 1st, 2021 as his contract with IMPACT Wrestling expires. The buzz surrounding Page has made him the hottest free agent this year, and with that a lot of questions about where he might choose to go next.
Ethan Page recently sat down and spoke to Bodyslam’s The Push Podcast, and talked about his upcoming free agency, and lots of potential matchups that we could be seeing sometime soon.
One of those potential matchups was brought up, when Page was asked whether or not he had any interest in rekindling his old rivalry with the now current AEW TNT Champion Darby Allin. The two had a tremendous feud in EVOLVE a few years back, and the payoff match was even featured in an episode of VICE’s The Wrestlers.
On a another potential match against Darby Allin, Page said that he still has nagging injuries from their first run, and that he doesn’t know if he could take another loss from him. He added that if the two did meet again he doesn’t think it would end up well for either of them.
“I will say that I still have nagging injuries and I’m sure he definitely does too. [Last time] he broke his arm with a shovel….I don’t know man, I don’t know if I’m ready to go back into something like that that’s so physically demanding. And I have a lot of respect for him, but I don’t know if I could take another loss to him so if that were to happen again I don’t think it’d end up well for either one of us.”
