Friday Night SmackDown Pulls In Impressive Rating For FS1 Programming
The WWE has struggled in the ratings game lately. Last week’s Raw drew a historically low number and this past Friday’s SmackDown not only had the frustration of the company’s booking, but then had to deal with being preempted on the Fox Network and moved to their FS1 station. How did Smackdown fare in the ratings game on Friday?
Showbuzz Daily has reported Smackdown drew 1.030 million viewers on FS1 with a .3 in the 18-49 demographic. While these are not the greatest numbers, these are huge for FS1 in comparison to the previous time SmackDown moved channels for a night. Their previous visit to FS1 had them draw only 881,000 viewers and the time before that was 888,000 viewers.
Last week’s SmackDown had 2.141 million viewers in the first hour and 2.071 in the second with a .50 in the 18-49 demographic. While it is no doubt good news for the WWE after hearing Raw’s poor rating, the company will still want to improve their numbers.
