Spoiler On How WWE Filmed The Firefly Inferno Match
One of the most surreal endings of a pay per view came at the end of last night’s TLC pay per view, when after Randy Orton defeated The Fiend in a Firefly Inferno match, The Legend Killer doused the down body of The Fiend in gasoline and set him on fire.
The surreal part is that Wyatt just laid there and burned as Orton posed to end the show. The camera remained on Wyatt as he laid there in flames, the crowd watching on in the ThunderDome in shock.
With the shots used to create the stunning visual, people wondered how they pulled it off. WrestleVotes, a usually reliable Twitter account when it comes to wrestling news and rumors, says the match was pre-taped.
At first, it appeared that a majority of the match was live, but the finish was definitely pre-taped. And while the finish seems like a twisted way to put an end to The Fiend, one may suspect it’s definitely just the beginning.
If they did a similar idea to how they filmed the Wyatt/Fiend switch from a couple weeks ago, it was definitely another fantastic trick they pulled off.
