WWE has suffered record low ratings for Raw recently, and fans have openly griped about several things that have caused these problems. One of the reasons that often comes up is poor booking, something that has been evident for some time in the company.
A lot of people in the company are pretty aware of the poor booking as well.
Dave Meltzer discussed this on Wrestling Observer Radio, mentioning that the company is well aware of the booking issues, but much internal complaining has ceased because so many have resigned themselves to the fact the company has countless internal issues to deal with as well. Of course, the begrudging acceptance of this flaw isn’t helping fix the situation either.
“I know many people in the company, and it’s not really complaining. It’s just resigning, like they’re just going through all these issues there that are systematic issues there, and they are, that’s what it is.”
With Vince McMahon really only hearing the things he wants to hear right now, the spiral has continued. Vince has no one to tell him what isn’t working no matter how much he likes it. Hopefully the ratings drop was a wake up call to see the start of some things changing. After all, the current backstage disarray has played a significant part in the ratings drop.
