Jonny Fairplay Arrested For Larceny With His Mother
Former TNA Wrestling manager and Survivor contestant Jon “Jonny Fairplay” Dalton has been arrested.
TMZ has reported Dalton, along with his mother Patsy Hall, was arrested and charged with larceny, allegedly stealing furniture and a necklace from his grandmother Jean Cook. The story’s strange twist comes in the fact that is the grandmother Dalton lied about having passed away during his first season as a contestant on Survivor. Fairplay earned his nickname ironically for this underhanded tactic, having had a friend help him perpetrate this lie to gain a competitive advantage on the show.
The criminal complaint was filed by Dalton’s aunt, his grandmother’s daughter, who claims he and his mother are mentally abusing Cook and taking advantage of her severe dementia. Dalton and his mother are accused of removing bar stools, a leather chair, an end table, and a silver necklace valued at $5k from his grandmother’s home without proper consent.
Fairplay released a statement saying “I (we) have been unjustly charged by a family member. I welcome the opportunity to vindicate myself (and my mother).”
Fairplay recently returned to wrestling headlines after saying he had recently spoken with Robbie E and revealed there had allegedly been creative plans for Melina to return to the WWE managed by Stone for his Robert Stone Brand faction in NXT. After the story came out, Fairplay tried to clarify his words, saying that he had only spoken to Robbie E and he had not heard that story directly from him.
