Orange Cassidy was the man with the highest selling shirt of 2020 and Sting broke a record for the most shirts sold in a 24-hour period on the site.
We’re speaking in past tense now, because Brodie Lee now owns both those records. A day after it was revealed Lee’s shirts held 8 of the top 10 sellers of the past week, A tribute shirt to Brodie Lee released last night has now become the site’s top seller of the year and smashed the record for most shirts sold in a 24 hour period. While it took Sting seemingly overnight to break the record, Lee’s shirt did it within hours of its release. The Pro Wrestling Tees Twitter account revealed the record had been broken before Dynamite had even gone off the air.
The shirt will have all proceeds go to Lee’s family, along with the remainder of his merchandise. The shirt was so popular, there were reports the site kept crashing due to the demand for the shirt.
True or not, the fact the wrestling community has come together to honor Brodie Lee and see to it that his family will be taken care of in this difficult time is truly wonderful.
