FTR has talked in depth about their friendship with Brodie Lee in the days following his passing. In fact, Brodie Lee had even wanted to form a faction with the duo when they all arrived in AEW.
Now FTR will be paying tribute to their late friend for the rest of their careers.
After leaving the WWE, the tag team changed their former finisher’s name. The former Shatter Machine became the Goodnight Express, referencing legendary tag teams like the Midnight Express. Now it will pay tribute to their long time friend.
Dax Harwood took to Twitter to reveal that they spoken with Amanda Huber, wife of the late Brodie Lee, to get her blessing in renaming the move The Big Rig. It may be a small change, but Dax Harwood said it was the duo’s way of keeping his legacy alive. The former AEW Tag Team Champions have not competed in several weeks, but with an upcoming match against Jurassic Express on Dynamite, we may hear the announce team call it The Big Rig as soon as that match.
