Does Snoop Dogg Have Backstage Heat With WWE Over AEW?
Last night’s AEW Dynamite featured an appearance from Snoop Dogg as he wound up eventually having a little fun in the ring with Matt Sydal and Cody Rhodes after hitting a splash on Serpentico. While many thought that the WWE would be upset with him with the amount of times they’ve collaborated with the famous rapper, that may not be the case.
If you thought there was reason to have heat, you could be right. Many people said that important people backstage in the WWE were upset, and WWE also round up removing the collaborative Snoop Dogg/Undertaker merchandise from WWEShop online. However, Fightful Select has reported he has no heat with the WWE. The most that was said about it reportedly was that his appearance was expected because he had worked with Cody Rhodes on the Go Big Show, in addition to his well known love for pro wrestling.
WWE has no exclusive contract with Snoop, so no deal was breached. However, he is now the second artist to have worked on a theme for both AEW and WWE. He is on remixes for both his cousin Sasha Banks’ theme, and AEW introduced a remix of Cody Rhodes “Kingdom” theme involving the D-O-Double G.
