On top of being a WWE Superstar, Daniel Bryan has also been working as a part of WWE Creative on Friday Night Smackdown for the last few months. Reports have suggested that Bryan has been keen on learning the ropes which are required for the position.
Bryan has been toiling hard in order to give proper pushes to Superstars who were not focused on before. This includes Superstars such as Big E, Chad Gable and Drew Gulak.
Now it seems Bryan wants to call up Superstars from NXT. As noted by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bryan has been actively pushing in order to have more NXT talents called up to WWE Smackdown and keep things fresh.
Bryan in particular with his role in creative has been pushing to bring in more NXT talent to Smackdown to freshen things up but the counter has been the track record of everyone brought up in the last two years from NXT and how Vince ends up losing interest in them and that there is a roster full of guys who could be used that aren’t even on television now.
It will be interesting to see which NXT Superstar gets called up.
