Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker were supposed to wrestle on the New Year’s Smash shows, but unfortunately Rosa had to quarantine after coming into contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19. After being postponed from the show, we finally have a make up date for the big match.
During tonight’s Waiting Room segment on AEW, a video taped segment from Thunder Rosa revealed Tony Khan decided their match needed a big platform to take place on. Despite numerous protests from Baker, The Dentist is going to go one on one with the former NWA Women’s Champion February 3rd at Beach Break.
Beach Blast is setting up to be another one of their big two week affairs that could deliver some high quality matches, but this is just the first match announced for a show three weeks away.
