Pete Dunne Looks Set To Become Next No. 1 Contender For NXT Championship

It looks as if Pete Dunne is set to become the next No. 1 contender for Finn Balor’s NXT championship and his likely to face him at the next NXT Takeover.

Fresh off of his successful title defense last week against Kyle O’reilly, Finn Balor was addressing the audience about his latest victory only to be interrupted by Pete Dunne, who told Balor the only reason he was still champion was that “He Hadn’t taken the title of him yet”. Joined by NXT tag team champions Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch, Dunne and Co. attack Balor and although Balor is able to hold his own to begin with, he is soon over whelmed by the trio.

Kyle O’reilly made his way out to help Balor after the two had gained plenty mutual respect for each other over their recent matches, he is quickly backed up by his Undisputed Era faction members Roderick Strong and Adam Cole who are able to run of Dunne and his cohorts.

Later on the evening following the main event tag team match saw Adam Cole and Roderick Strong defeat the team of Breezango, advancing to the next round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. However during the match Dunne and NXT Tag Team Champions made their way to ringside attacking Kyle O’Reilly supporting his team from ring side. Balor came out to make the save but both Balor and O’reilly are left on the floor as Dunne, Lorcan and Burch are evicted from ringside.

The next NXT Takeover is scheduled for February 14th will we be seeing Pete Dunne and Finn Balor fight for the NXT Championship in the main event?
