IMPACT Wrestling Gave Ethan Page Two Choices On How He Could Be Written Off TV

Ethan Page has been a free agent since the start of January, but finally finished his obligations at Hard to Kill by having his heart ripped out of his chest courtesy of his alter ego Karate Man. While Page was vocal about not wanting to bring Karate Man to Impact television, he was also very upset with the final cut of the match he filmed involving him and his alter ego. Apparently choosing Karate Man was one of two difficult choices he had to make when it came to being written out of Impact.

Fightful Select has reported Impact told page he had a choice between a “violent split” of The North or the angle with Karate Man, and based on things he’s said since leaving the company he wasn’t a fan of either decision.

Page said that he was given a decision of getting his way with one of those, and decided that not splitting The North was more important than him.

Page felt it was important to keep The North together, and while Page eventually went through with the Karate Man gimmick, the company cut the match far different than how Page would have wanted.
