Stephanie McMahon Recognizes The Star Power Of Sasha Banks
WWE’s announcement for where the next 3 WrestleManias would be held certainly garnered some amusement and laughs. Featuring Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, Sasha Banks, and John Cena, it featured some of WWE’s most high profile stars in and out of the squared circle playing fun little roles in the announcement.
While talking to Sports Illustrated, Stephanie McMahon had high praise for one of them in particular.
Sasha Banks has been riding high this year as SmackDown’s reigning Women’s Champion, in addition to a key role in season two of The Mandalorian. In the announcement video, Banks plays a reporter revealing WrestleMania 38 will be taking place in Dallas, a key point in Banks’ personal history. Just a few short years ago at WrestleMania 32, Banks competed against Charlotte and Becky Lynch in a triple threat match for the WWE Women’s Championship. The match is considered one of the pinnacle moments in the WWE Women’s Evolution, and Stephanie McMahon recognized not only the star power Banks brings, but the importance of her being the once to announce WrestleMania 38 in the very same stadium this match took place.
“Sasha is a star, and she was a perfect choice to make that announcement. That launched the rebranding of the women’s division on the biggest stage possible. Sasha, Becky and Charlotte tore it down in Dallas, and I can’t wait to see what they do at WrestleMania in 2022.”
While this year’s WrestleMania is a two-night affair at Raymond James Stadium, next year’s WrestleMania will be at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. You can watch the announcement video below.
