The trial of Alberto Del Rio was supposed to begin today in San Antonio, but the date has now been pushed back.
PWInsider has reported the trial has now been pushed back to May 3rd. He appeared in court this morning, so this may have been a last minute decision or one of the parties was seeking a continuance.
Last May, Del Rio was arrested for one count of aggravated kidnapping and four counts of sexual assault. Del Rio was indicted in October of last year, with the victim’s injuries documented via photographs. If convicted, Del Rio could serve life in prison. The story took a twist when the victim recanted her allegations, but the court is still going through the process of the trial.
