Backstage News On Moose’s Impact Contract Status
Impact Wrestling has already had a rough 2021 when it comes to losing their top stars. Ethan Page and Taya Valkyrie are now free agents, and this is fresh off the heels of losing 2/3rds of The Rascalz. Now it seems Impact may have another major star on the road to free agency, and it’s another main event star for the company.
Despite saying Moose recently signed a two-year deal during the Hard to Kill PPV broadcast, Fightful Select has revealed that Moose’s contract actually expires in June of this year.
Moose’s IMPACT Wrestling contract is actually up in June, making him a free agent. As mentioned earlier this year, it’s expected that there will actually be a steady stream of contracts coming due through the first half of the year.
Moose having a controversial background may shy WWE from him, and it’s unknown if AEW would have an interest in the former Ring of Honor and EVOLVE star, but he seems to be one of the major names in that “steady stream” of contracts that are upcoming. Impact has a lot of decisions to make when it comes who to keep and who to let go, but it’s a situation we’ll continue to report on here at Bodyslam.
