Alex Shelley Updates His Status Following His Hard To Kill Absence
Alex Shelley was forced to miss the Hard to Kill pay per view for an undisclosed reason. Despite a video message to fans trying to explain the absence, many felt it left more questions than answers. Now, Alex Shelley has returned to Twitter to talk about his absence, revealing several things.
Besides revealing he is not currently under contract to Impact Wrestling, Shelley revealed he is working a second job as a physical therapy clinician. He revealed that COVID-19 restrictions from his primary job forced him to miss the show, as he was putting his primary job first over wrestling, which he referred to as his “passion project.”
Shelley also revealed that due to putting his primary job first and out of respect for them, he cannot wrestle again until he receives the COVID-19 vaccine. He added that he doesn’t feel comfortable it seems to get the vaccine so soon, but that’s based on conjecture from the nature of the tweets. While Shelley didn’t give a timetable on his return to the ring, it’s clear that he’s working with patients to help them get better. Best of luck to him during this time.
