The Lucha Bros Prepare To Open Up Lucha Libre Focused Store In Southern California
Professional wrestlers have often found outside ventures to subsidize their income to make sure they can keep making money even after their career ends. Whether it’s investing in a wine vinyard, developing a clothing line, or even nutritional supplements, wrestlers are happy to invest in different things to find alternative means of income.
Now two AEW stars are prepared to bring you a new way to consume Lucha Libre in southern California.
Penta el Zero M and Rey Fenix have launched the website for their soon to open store Republic of Lucha. Set to open in South Pasadena, California, The Lucha Bros have hailed Republic of Lucha as a 4,000 square foot area with quite a bit to entertain a fan of lucha libre.
A brand new, 4,000 sq ft retail store, gallery, event space, outdoor cinema and museum dedicated 100% to LUCHA LIBRE. Official merch, mask gallery, art installations, events and the biggest names in Lucha Libre all under one roof in the heart of Los Angeles!!!!
The website also includes a link to the store’s official Instagram page, where one of the posts reveals that they are a “few weeks away” from opening, though delays may be expected due to the ongoing pandemic in addition to supply chains for products and other things being interrupted as well. The post that revealed that was close to a week ago, so it’s possible we’ll see Republic of Lucha open in the first half of 2021, though a recent post lists the date of March 1st. Another Instagram post reveals the plan for their outdoor cinema to be on the roof of the building.
The online shop on the site has yet to open, and the site is still bare bones, but you can check it out here.
