This past Wednesday’s Dynamite featured a wonderful match between Dax Harwood and Jungle Boy. Harwood and Jungle Boy had show stealing match that the company had also promoted heavily during the week, with Jungle Boy taking the next big step in his career. However, you may be surprised who pitched the match to Tony Khan.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Dax Harwood was the one who pitched the match to Khan, who liked it enough to go forward with it. The intention was to continue building Jungle Boy as one of the company’s top babyfaces, and after some amazing high profile singles matches with Chris Jericho and MJF, these star making performances are doing their part to help build him as one of the company’s next top stars.
Harwood was the guy who put together the angle and presented it to Tony Khan with the goal of the angle to make Jungle Boy come out of it as a superstar babyface.
While FTR managed to leave the ring standing after a brutal attack on Luchasaurus and another attack on Jungle Boy, it’s clear that this feud is doing its part to help elevate the team while continuing to show why FTR are the Top Guys. The feud is far from over, but this singles match did its part to make it even more exciting. And it certainly allowed us to hear Jungle Boy’s Christmas gift from Tony Khan.
