NXT has started to put together the card for their next TakeOver special, and after revealing it will take place February 14th from the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, we now know the first match announced.
Io Shirai will put her NXT Women’s Title on the line against challengers Mercedes Martinez and Toni Storm in a triple threat match.
Martinez and Storm have both targeted Shirai and Io responded by costing them their first round match in the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, leading them to start building towards this match. While this is only the first match announced for the upcoming TakeOver special, we can probably assume other matches will be the finals of the Dusty Classic, in addition to Finn Balor defending the NXT Title.
