Fans of pro wrestling are certainly aware of the long history between Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi. The two have shared the ring together in NJPW on numerous occasions and were also known as the Golden Lovers.
The two pro wrestlers are the top champions in their respective companies. However, with the landscape of pro wrestling changing thanks to AEW working with other promotions, fans have been wondering whether AEW will finally work with NJPW.
Kota Ibushi recently took to Twitter and tweeted about Kenny Omega. As translated by Michael Nakazawa, Kota said that he didn’t forget about the challenge Kenny Omega made to him on YouTube back in 2008.
Kota said that he wants competition between AEW and NJPW that is sure to change the pro wrestling industry and that it needs a shot in the arm.

AEW World Champion Kenny Omega decided to reply to Michael Nakazawa’s tweet. In the tweet translated from Japanese, Omega asked Ibushi if he was lonely in NJPW after Omega left the company for AEW.
He then seemingly invited Kota Ibushi to come to AEW and join the Bullet Club when he said ”let’s take my hand and create a new kingdom together.”
