The Royal Rumble has historically seen former Superstars used as surprise entrants to shock fans, and it appears as though this year will be no different.
According to a report from PWInsider, former WWE Superstar Carlito is in Tampa, Florida and is currently backstage and will be appearing as a surprise entrant in tonight’s Men’s Royal Rumble match. In addition, the word going around backstage is that Carlito will also be appearing on tomorrow night’s episode of RAW.
It was also reported that there was talk of Carlito potentially receiving a tryout for a Producer role within the company.
Carlito was previously advertised to appear on the recent RAW Legend’s night, but did not end up appearing. Carlito last wrestled for WWE back in 2010, working a house show. His last appearance for the company was back in 2014 when he inducted his father Carlos Colon into the WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania weekend.
