A major name on television lately has seemingly been pulled from the Royal Rumble, with Jey Uso looking to have been removed from the event.
Uso was not at the SmackDown taping this week and his image was removed from the Royal Rumble graphic. Fightful Select has gone on to report that Uso was “conspicuously absent from the WWE Royal Rumble graphic.” This could be a strong indication he won’t be showing up tonight.
No reason has been given as to why he was pulled from SmackDown, but it does leave a thread dangling as Uso had vowed to win the Royal Rumble and promised not to challenge his cousin Roman Reigns, instead choosing to head to Raw to challenge the winner of the Goldberg/Drew McIntyre WWE Title match. That plan looks to be dashed now, as until we hear otherwise, we might have to assume Jey Uso will not be competing in tonight’s Royal Rumble match.
