Last night, Edge won his second Royal Rumble match, and his first one in 11 years. After starting at number one, Edge outlasted 29 other competitors to win the match, lastly eliminating Randy Orton who had entered at number two.
Edge now joins a small list of two-time Royal Rumble winners, but also set a record in the process. Edge is the first WWE Superstar in history to win the Rumble after being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. This was Edge’s first appearance since June of last year after tearing his triceps at Backlash.
It was a great night for Edge, who not only punched his ticket to WrestleMania and returned from a severe injury, but got to share the victory with his lifelong best friend Christian, who returned last night as well.
