Last night at the Royal Rumble, both Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest appeared in their respective matches. After weeks of speculation on their future, it seems like last night was more than just a one off appearance for them before heading back to NXT.
PWInsider has reported that last night was their official call up to the main roster. Ripley has been speculated as joining the main roster for quite some time, while Priest had his call up nixed because of creative reasons.
Santana Garrett also appeared in the Rumble, and there had been rumors she too had been called up to the main roster months ago, but she had been stuck in limbo following Paul Heyman’s removal as Executive Director of Raw. Garrett is thought to have been called in to replace Reckoning from Retribution, who has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
At this time, it is unknown what brands Ripley and Priest will be on.
