Last night, it was revealed Lars Sullivan was released from his WWE deal. They did it quietly, with no announcement happening and one may not come.
Ringside News has asked people about this and while the release has been confirmed, everyone told them the same thing and that nobody was surprised by the release.
Sullivan was unable to deliver on the main roster, and many felt NXT was a better place for them because they could cater to his needs and the smaller intimate venues were not intimidating for the performer who had once had to take time off after suffering an anxiety attack. Sullivan simply couldn’t meet the demands of the main roster.
Vince McMahon gave Sullivan many chances, including as recently as this past November when he was brought back for the WWE Draft. Nothing ever connected, and it didn’t help that he had some issues stemming from his past like homophobic and racist comments made by him on a message board.
