Lars Sullivan has been released and no one was really shocked at the news. Vince McMahon gave the star multiple chances, and none of them worked out, probably one of the key reasons he was released. While most people feel like he couldn’t handle the pressure of the WWE, there were obviously other issues.
During his injury recovery, videos surfaced of Lars Sullivan performing in adult videos from his time before the WWE. Performing under the name Mitch Bennett, Sullivan performed in videos of the homoerotic variety, ironic considering some of the inflammatory posts made by him on message boards that had been uncovered.
Fightful Select now reports that several wrestlers talked to said that Vince McMahon wouldn’t see Sullivan the same way again after those movies surfaced.
Wrestlers told us that there was no way Vince McMahon would look at him the same again after the video released. Sullivan had been a favorite of McMahon’s upon his call-up in 2019.
Sullivan is a free agent now and while many people are wondering if he finds a place with another company, some of his own issues might continue to prevent him from reaching his full potential. Hopefully Sullivan is able to get help with his anxiety in addition to other things.
