WWE might not call up every NXT Superstar to Raw or SmackDown, but some are destined to be seen on the main roster. Karrion Kross is one of them. The company has been watching carefully the work of the former NXT Champion and people have high expectations for him.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Kross’ situation and revealed he’s being “groomed” for a main roster run, while others may never leave NXT right now.
“Karrion Kross is being groomed for the main roster. Roderick Strong, who can work rings around Karrion Kross, might never be on the main roster. It’s just how it is. They can’t wait to get Karrion Kross on the main roster. He has to get through whatever he’s getting through [in NXT] to get him there, but he’s on the fast track for that.”
They did point out Kross’ injury last year slowed down the process, but he’s still being fast tracked to get a call up. There’s plenty of time between now and then it seems, but Kross is on his way to the main roster. We just have to see how he’s booked once he gets there.
