WWE managed to keep a hold of one of their stars, re-signing Cesaro to a deal recently. In a report by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it looks like Cesaro will be doing something specific now that he’s re-signed.
Apparently Cesaro’s new deal comes with a new role for The Swiss Cyborg, as apparently part of the new deal is “he’s been told his role is to make new stars.” While this sounds like Cesaro won’t be elevated from his current position, it at least seems like he’s going to be in an important enough position to help tomorrow’s stars look good.
Cesaro was originally scheduled to take the role Shinsuke Nakamura did in the recent gauntlet match on SmackDown, but the fact he hadn’t re-signed with the company played a part in that being switched. Now Cesaro and his skill set will be used to help the WWE develop their new top stars as they work on building them.
