Darren Young Teases Nexus Return At WrestleMania 37
Fred Rosser, formerly known as Darren Young, has been experiencing a fun second act of his career as part of New Japan here in the United States. However, it seems like there’s a potential hint we could see something else from him in the near future.
Darren Young was part of the DropKick podcast where Danial Ali talked to him about following former Nexus ally Wade Barrett back in the WWE. Barrett has returned to the company as part of the NXT commentary booth, but Young revealed that might not be the only thing we see Barrett do now…or even Young himself. He hinted that his former faction, The Nexus, might just make a one night appearance to handle some business.
“Yeah well most likely, Wrestlemania in Tampa again with the crowd. We’re gonna come back. The Nexus, him being on commentary and he’s gonna rise up from the table and we’re gonna show up and defeat Retribution. I shouldn’t have dropped the news but, oops but it will be fun.”
Young said last year that The Nexus was supposed to make an appearance at WrestleMania 36, but many things changed with the COVID-19 pandemic. While it’s unsure if Young is telling the truth now, it could be interesting considering the comparisons Retribution has had to The Nexus. If you ask Retribution’s T-Bar, they’re much better in the merchandise department. You can watch the interview below.
