Damian Priest Talks About Working With Bad Bunny
Damian Priest officially made his main roster debut this past Sunday at the Royal Rumble, and it looks like WWE is already off to big plans for him.
After working with Bad Bunny to get some revenge on Miz and Morrison at the Royal Rumble and again the next night on Raw, there’s a lot of talk it’s leading to Bad Bunny having a match at WrestleMania, where it seems like he and Priest will team together to meet the dastardly duo in a tag team match. It’s all very much a rumor right now and Priest has definitely heard them.
Priest has definitely heard the rumors and had a chance to talk to Rick Ucchino from SportsKeeda about the rumors. While he doesn’t know if they’re true, he knows Bad Bunny could succeed without him and he just wants to make sure he’s part of this year’s WrestleMania.
“That’s been brought up to me by other people as well. I read the reports like everybody else did, so I don’t know, but I will say this… That guy is so talented and so determined to achieve what he wants on his terms that if he wanted to do this, or he wanted to transition or wanted to wrestle, I’m sure he could achieve it. He’s not even supposed to have the success he has in his profession now, but he figured out a way to make it work. He’s just a good human being – that always helps – and if he wanted to [wrestle] I’m sure he could. Hell, I don’t care what I’m doing. First of all, I’m just trying to be on WrestleMania. It can be in any way, shape or form, so to get in with someone like him and his caliber of status in this world… sign me up, please!”
Working with Bad Bunny can only help Priest’s status in the company, and even in the mainstream. WWE is hoping the pairing will help Priest get over with the Latino community, and there’s reason to believe people will get into the pairing. Bad Bunny’s merchandise collaboration with the WWE completely sold out and as of now he’s the number one merchandise seller in the WWE this year. The pairing has a lot of potential to be great for The Archer of Infamy, and he’s definitely open to it. You can watch the interview below.
