The AEW Women’s Championship Eliminator Tournament starts Wednesday Night, but it seems like Jim Cornette has found another reason to avoid AEW and it involves this tournament.
One of the competitors in the tournament is Maki Itoh. She’s a few years into her pro wrestling career, but the young star is also an idol in Japan. Itoh is also part of the idol group Tokiwoikriu and formerly of LinQ in addition to her pro wrestling career. Needless to say, she’s an interesting character. Even referring to herself as “Queen of the Simps,” Itoh knows her audience. Jim Cornette has now been exposed to Itoh and had literally nothing nice to say.
After tweeting out a photo referring to herself as the “GOD OF LOVE AND PISS,” Cornette snapped on Twitter and accused AEW of booking “fetishes” and alluded they’re getting positions on TV while “many talented wrestlers sit idle.”
Aaaand Twinkletoes gets another of his fetishes a job on TV while many talented pro wrestlers sit idle. Better brush up on being a deity of sh*t, cause she’ll be seeing plenty on AEW TV.
Needless to say, Itoh had fun with his response, referring to herself as the deity of sh*t herself. While some would consider it a slap in the face to Itoh, detracting from her skills in the ring as he focuses on her career as an idol, it’s another in the long list of insults Cornette has hurled at All Elite Wrestling, namely the EVPs The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega.
