Steve Cutler’s Released Caused Match To Get Canceled
Steve Cutler was fired recently, leaving behind a storyline he had just started on WWE television. The former Forgotten Son had remained part of his tag team with Wesley Blake, becoming the new Knights of the Lone Wolf for King Corbin as he began working with Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, and their newest partner Murphy.
Unfortunately, his firing triggered a chain reaction that’s now left two people unfortunately on the sidelines. Wrestling Observer Radio talked about how WWE was working to build toward Cutler, Blake, and Corbin facing off against The Mysterios and Murphy.
“[Cutler is] out, he’s now a free agent. [Murphy] isn’t being used because there is no spot for him. They booked him into this thing with Aalyah and now they haven’t been able to get out of it. It was gonna be Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, and Murphy against Corbin, Wesley Blake, and Steve Cutler. Well, you take Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler out then there’s no place for Murphy unless you wanna make these Dominik Mysterio matches 3 on 1 instead of 2 on 1. So, they decided to go with the 2 on 1 so, Buddy Murphy don’t got a spot.”
Murphy has been backstage but unused the last several weeks, and now it seems like he’s going to have to wait for the next thing to pop up. Aalyah hasn’t been used on television lately, so it seems like he might be in even bigger trouble if his biggest storyline seems to be dropped completely.
