AEW has been big on using legends in managerial roles, and one of those is Arn Anderson. Anderson is often referred to as the “head coach” of the Nightmare Family, and he looks the part. With his clipboard and looking like a coach straight from any sport, it’s obvious he’s relishing the role. He might be enjoying it enough to add another client or two to his list of people he’s working with.
On a recent episode of The ARN Show, Anderson was asked if he had an interest in managing a tag team. While he had singled out FTR as the team to manage if he had to choose one, that obviously might not happen given they have a manager in fellow legend and his former tag team partner, Tully Blanchard. However, Arn did reveal he’s building a relationship with a new team and he plans on revealing that relationship soon.
“There are some good teams out there. Obviously FTR is doing just fine with Tully, that was a very good selection. I had thought for a long long time about managing those guys but good for them.”
“To be perfectly honest with you, there’s something that’s going to be happening I hope pretty soon on AEW and we’ll keep that close to the vest. It will change my life 100% and it will change that individual’s life 100%. As far as building a new tag team for the future, that may be the first building block and we’ll just sit on that for now. There are some plans in the works.”
The company recently put together a new tag team known as The Infantry, but given the recent addition of Aaron Solow to the Nightmare Family and his long standing tag team with Nightmare Family member Lee Johnson on AEW Dark, both look like good options to see things happening. However, things look to be very intriguing for Arn Anderson and the AEW tag team division.
