Cameron Grimes’ New Character Based On His Actual Stock Market Experience
The stock market had an interesting run over the last few weeks, with people from Reddit using strategies to make money off long dead stocks like AMC, GameStop, and others. One of those people was Cameron Grimes.
Coincidentally, Cameron Grimes showed up on NXT this week, returning from injury, and the Million Dollar Caveman bragged about how much he made on the stock market. This was talked about on Wrestling Observer Live, where it was revealed this was no coincidence. This was designed to be a shoot, as they brought Grimes’ real life playing of the “stonk market” into his NXT character.
“Listen, in real life Cameron bought AMC in the Game Stop deal at a ridiculously low price, like $13 and sold it for like hundreds of dollars, so legitimately Cameron Grimes made a ton of money that week. He does not have more money than Elon Musk. He might have more money than anyone at NXT at the moment. So, now that’s his character, and it’s the greatest.”
Grimes’ return from injury saw the Carolina Caveman become the Million Dollar Caveman. While it might not last forever, it will certainly make for fun television as Cameron Grimes might be one of the more interesting personalities in NXT.
