WWE And AEW Talents Slacking On COVID-19 Safety Protocols Frustrating Officials In Both Companies

While hospitalizations are down for COVID-19, the pandemic is still ongoing. Thankfully, some people are starting to take things far more seriously, in addition to vaccinations being rolled out as quick as possible. That hasn’t stopped people from making questionable decisions, and it’s left WWE and AEW officials very angry.

Pro wrestlers have been on social media since the beginning of the year, pictures revealed of them at New Year’s Eve and Super Bowl parties. Some of those gatherings have skirted around COVID-19 protocols and given the fact that one person saw their WWE career come to an end over attending these gatherings, both companies are finding it an issue some of their talent is taking things seriously. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that both WWE and AEW saw issues with stars attending Super Bowl parties knowing they weren’t supposed to be attending them, leading to internal frustration within the companies.

Management in both companies at times have expressed frustration that some talent isn’t taking it seriously.

AEW and WWE have dealt with positive COVID-19 tests with top talent, and even had some crazy near misses. With WWE recently firing someone over the issue, along with them telling their talent it is on them to get vaccinated, the companies seem to have some issues to get in order in the coming weeks to avoid long term issues due to COVID-19.
