News On Juice Robinson And David Finlay’s IMPACT Wrestling Appearance
Last night on No Surrender, the next phase of what seems to be a working relationship between New Japan Pro Wrestling, Impact Wrestling, and All Elite Wrestling seemed to fall into place as Impact announced we would see the arrival of NJPW tag team FinJuice, the team of Juice Robinson and David Finlay.
However, PWInsider has reported the arrival of the former IWGP Tag Team Champions has nothing to do with the partnership with AEW and NJPW, as it was agreed upon before the two companies began working together. A scheduling conflict prevented the duo from making an appearance on the previous series of Impact tapings which they were supposed to attend.
The site has also reported that this is part of “many, many, MANY months” to fix the relationship that has long been sour between New Japan and Impact Wrestling. In fact, their report states that Scott D’Amore went to Japan in 2017 to apologize to the NJPW for previous issues, including giving a personal apology to Kazuchika Okada. The first sign the parties were mending fences was Chris Bey’s appearance in the Super J-Cup last December.
