Sammy Guevara created a bit of a stir in the AEW/Impact Wrestling partnership thanks to him not being a fan of creative plans for him that had been laid out for a recent appearance in Impact that eventually got canceled.
Guevara had pushed back with ideas of his own, and eventually the whole thing wound up being canceled and Guevara sent home. However, Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that there is no heat on Guevara allegedly for this.
“I haven’t heard of any heat on Sammy Guevara or anything like that, like ‘we’re not gonna push him.’”
We have more details on the angle Guevara wound up rejecting coming up later today, but even with some of the other things that caused the issues between Impact and Guevara, it doesn’t seem like he’s got a lot of problems at the moment, probably thankfully for him.
