Kevin Owens Responds To Fan Who Offered Alternative Solution To The Last Man Standing Match
Kevin Owens is still sore over the end of his Last Man Standing match with Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble.
A botched finish created a situation where it looked like the referee simply gave up counting despite Owens having Reigns down for a full 10 count. Of course, because the match couldn’t end in that manner, the referee simply stood there and Kevin Owens has run with it in character. A fan offered an alternative solution to Owens’ problems and Owens responded, recognizing that the fan’s alternative solution may have been more chaotic.
The fan took to Twitter to recall the finish of John Cena and Batista’s Last Man Standing match from Extreme Rules 2010, where Cena used heavy duct tape around the ankles of The Animal as his legs were wrapped around a ringpost. It was a clever way to make sure that Batista wouldn’t be able to answer a 10-count, but Owens felt that his luck would’ve prevented victory still.
Owens might not have won at the Royal Rumble, but he’s got one more shot to take the title home Sunday at Elimination Chamber. If he can survive that match, he’ll meet Roman Reigns later that night.
