Yesterday, it was revealed Sammy Guevara was supposed to have made an appearance for Impact Wrestling, but eventually it was canceled and Guevara sent home.
The details have so far been semi scarce, but it revolves around Guevara offering alternative ideas after rejecting creative plans the two companies initially agreed upon. It was eventually said that whatever was pitched for Guevara surrounded ideas with Decay and the ideas were eventually given to Black Taurus. However, we now have more details on the situation, and you can decide for yourself if Guevara was in the right.
Dave Meltzer talked about it on Wrestling Observer Radio and revealed that his sources told him that whatever was pitched to Guevara was something he definitely should’ve questioned.
“I had heard from one person at Impact, I don’t know what the creative is that he turned down, but they said that the creative he turned down was something he should turned down. He didn’t like it and they decided to do it with Black Taurus instead and they did not use Sammy.”
All eyes are going to be on Black Taurus over the next few weeks on Impact, as we see what he does knowing in the back of our minds Sammy Guevara had initially been planned for this. Thankfully for him, it seems like there’s no heat on him for rejecting the idea.
