Rev Pro Wrestling have announced Epic Encounters 9 for the 12th of March and will be free streaming the event on YouTube and Twitch. Taking to twitter earlier today, prior to releasing the full card, Rev Pro are hoping that this will be their final empty arena show.
The first match announced is a tag team match featuring 4 of the best women wrestlers in the UK as Zoe Lucas and best friend Bobbi Tyler face off against the team of Kanji and Aleah James.
James has been a thorn in the side of Zoe Lucas since her arrival at Rev Pro, at Epic Encounters 8 James attempted to save Kanji from a post match beat down at the hands of Lucas and Tyler. However Lucas and Tyler managed to get the upper hand stealing Kanji’s Southside Womens Championship before running off backstage.
Next match to be announced is the final of the Southside Heavyweight Championship tournament B -Bracket as RKJ (Ricky Knight Jr) faces off against the newest member of the Legion Screwface Ahmed, the winner will face off against the winner of A Bracket.
RKJ found his way to the B-Bracket have been beat by Dan Moloney in the A-Block first round, he would go on to defeat Defeat Brendan White and Rob Lias on route to the B-Bracket finals. Screwface Ahemed also found his way to B-Bracket after a defeat in the A-Bracket first round at the hands of Joel Redman, Ahmed would make it to the B-Bracket final first defeating Chuck Mumbo before avenging his loss to Redman with the help of the Legion.
The third match announced will see JJ Gale face off against the Legion’s Chris Ridgeway,
Gale’s problem with the Legion continues ever since defeating the Legion’s Leader Gideon Grey at Epic Encounters 7. At Epic Encounters 8 Gale would get another win over the Legion Leader in tag match that saw him team with Callum Newman against Grey and Ridgeway, leading to this one on one match as Grey hopes his new charge in Ridgeway will punish the young up start.
The A-Bracket Final was announced next as Charlie Miller faces off against Dan Moloney with the winner going on to face the B-Bracket winner to win the vacant Southside heavyweight championship.
Dan Moloney makes his the way the final having defeated RKJ in the first round and Rob Lias in the A-Bracket Semi-finals. Charlie Miller made his way to the A-Bracket finals defeating Chuck Mumbo in round 1 and defeating former tag team partner Joel Redman in the A-Bracket Semi-Final.
The fifth match announced will see Micheal Oku vs Kid Lykos II
This will be Micheal Oku’s first match back since Epic Encounter 6 which saw him tagging with Conner Mills against Kenneth Halfpenny and Shaun Jackson. After that match Kid Lykos II would attack both Mills and Oku whilst they were distracted by the original Kid Lykos. At Epic Encounters 8 Kid Lykos II managed to pick up win over Conner Mills thanks to some shenanigans, now he has the chance to take on the Rev Pro Cruiserweight champion Micheal Oku.
The final match announcement will be the main event of the evening as new Rev Pro Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter takes on the Legion’s Women’s prize fighter Skye Smithson.
Jamie Hayter is now with out her Odeo Tai tag team partner in Bea Priestley but that did not stop her winning the Women’s Championship at Epic Encounters 8 with a win over Gisele Shaw. Following the match Gideon Grey made his intentions clear letting Hayter know that his new Prize fighter was coming for the title. This will only be Skye Smithson’s second competitive match for Rev Pro, in her only other match she walked out on her tag team partner Zan Pheonix, as they faced Gisele Shaw and Jaime Hayter.
