Konnan is going through some health issues.
Two different stories are going around involving the former WCW star’s health, but that doesn’t mean only one is true. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Konnan was in the hospital with what is said to be a “pretty serious” kidney issue. Meltzer added the situation was “very concerning” but gave no other details on Konnan’s health.
Meanwhile, Hugo Savinovich has also revealed Konnan has tested positive for COVID-19, a report that was confirmed by Konnan himself to Lucha Libre Online. While not addressing the kidney issue, the report revealed Konnan is out of danger and expects to be discharged today or tomorrow to continue his treatment at home. While Meltzer has reported the kidney issue, Savinovich’s report on Konnan seems to be the official reason he was in the hospital with no talk from him about Konnan having kidney problems.
Konnan hasn’t been active on social media since Valentine’s Day, and some fans may have concerns about his health due to him receiving a kidney transplant back in 2007.
