AEW is in the middle of their Women’s Championship Eliminator Tournament, but obviously anticipation is growing to see more talent in their women’s division. One of those talents people are asking about is Tessa Blanchard.
Last night on AEW Dynamite’s post-show, a question was asked to Tony Schiavone about the possibility of AEW bringing in Tessa Blanchard. Schavone might not have had the official word, but it sounds like he knew the status of it somewhat, and it’s not good for fans of her.
“Yes, I don’t think that’s happening. At least not anytime soon. I would have heard that.”
While WWE is said to have interest in Blanchard, there’s clearly the behavior holdups that some people have given the stories surrounding her. While she’s currently taking time off to enjoy being married and wait through the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ll have to see what company makes a move for Blanchard or if they do at all. She is a legitimate talent, but sometimes the baggage outweighs the talent.
