Following tonight’s NXT UK Walter will surpass Pete Dunne’s NXT UK Championship reign, however it should be noted that Walter’s reign is some what inflated due to six months of inactivity caused by the Global Pandemic and subsequent lock down.
Walter’s reign began when he defeated Pete Dunne at NXT Takeover New York on the 5th of April 2019, the UK was then sent into lock down on March 23rd 2020, barely year into Walters reign. During that time Walter had defended his title 5 times against the likes of; Pete Dunne, Trent Seven, Tyler Bate, Joe Coffey and Dave Mastiff. NXT UK returned to action on the 17th of September 2020 and since the restart Walter has defended his title on 2 separate occasions against Ilja Dragunov and A-Kid respectively.
