Dominik Mysterio And Several NXT: UK Stars WWE Denied Trademarks For
WWE has done its best to lock down trademarks for their stars to be able to use their names for the purpose of merchandise and various other reasons. Now the company has worked to lock down a series of names, but have run into trouble with several names in their latest batch of trademark listings.
Heel By Nature has reported that WWE has been denied trademarks for a handful of names because they lacked the written consent needed from the performers to allow them to acquire the trademarks. They will lose the rights to those trademarks if they do not get written consent within six months.
The names their report mentioned are Dominik Mysterio, Kay Lee Ray, Chelsea Green, A-Kid, Amale, Amir Jordan, and Aoife Valkyrie.
This isn’t the first time the WWE has ran into these issues, and usually they manage to make the situation work. Recently, one of the more notorious names they had issues trademarking was Mercedes Martinez, but Keith Lee and Mia Yim had similar issues. Unfortunately, they had to abandon those trademarks.
